On September 18, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily published a report titled "Enterprises Going Global, Projects Introduced, Foreign Trade Becoming Hot", focusing on Shenzhen's innovative practices in overseas Chinese affairs in recent years, exploring the "overseas Chinese affairs + economic and trade" model, and promoting international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation. Among them, the Overseas Chinese Trade Fair, as an important overseas service platform, is using its own actions and practices, taking overseas Chinese as a bridge, and actively promoting the "two-way rush" of new quality productivity and new trade formats.
In July this year, the 2nd Overseas Chinese Trade Fair (Vietnam) Smart Technology Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "Overseas Chinese Trade Fair Vietnam Exhibition") was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During the exhibition, the cumulative number of visitors exceeded 17,000, and the proportion of professional buyers exceeded 70%. Exhibitors signed 65 cooperation orders with purchasing representatives such as Samsung Group and Hong Kong Xinhua Group on site. The cooperation projects involved smart parks, smart power systems, smart education system procurement, servo machine agents, component supply chain cooperation, digital product agents and other fields.
"This is our second time to participate in the Overseas Chinese Trade Fair. We hope to bring our own developed products and brands to Vietnam to open up the market and seek new development space. Facts have proved that this decision is very correct." said Rao Xudong, Chairman of Shenzhen Zhongyin Technology Co., Ltd.
In recent years, Shenzhen has actively promoted the overseas expansion of the Overseas Chinese Industry Fair, and has established an overseas Chinese business network of more than 1,000 business associations in more than 50 countries. In 2023, 6 overseas exhibitions were held in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, Barcelona, Jakarta and Hong Kong, China, with an intended purchase amount of US$1.02 billion. Six overseas exhibitions are still scheduled this year, including Indonesia, Thailand, Dubai, and Hong Kong, China. Among them, the first overseas exhibition in Dubai, UAE will serve domestic enterprises to expand the Middle East market and business.
The reporter learned that the Overseas Chinese Fair has become an important stage for international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with its unique charm and influence. It not only provides Chinese manufacturing with opportunities to demonstrate its own strength and expand overseas markets, but also provides overseas business associations and buyers around the world with a platform for interactive communication and common development.
"The Overseas Chinese Fair is actively promoting the "two-way rush" of new quality productivity and new trade formats with its own actions and practices. With the continuous expansion of the "circle of friends" of the Overseas Chinese Fair, China's foreign economic and trade cooperation and exchanges will continue to move towards a new blue ocean." Zheng Yongshi, Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Federation of Overseas Chinese and President of the Overseas Chinese Fair Group, said.
