On June 27, the 5th Overseas Chinese Trade Fair (Kuala Lumpur) Smart Technology Exhibition, co-organized by Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Business Think Tank Research Institute and the Malaysian Teochew Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and strongly supported by the Guangdong Chamber of International Commerce, Shenzhen Overseas Exchange Association, Malaysian Teochew Association Federation and many industry associations in Malaysia, opened grandly at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center.

On the first day of the exhibition, it attracted more than 3,000 visitors and more than 8,000 person-times to visit the exhibition. It received attention from industry associations, technology, trade practitioners and media from Malaysia and neighboring countries. The scene was crowded and the negotiations were heated!

The opening ceremony was attended by many guests, including Sun Shuqiang, Minister Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, YB Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia, Yang Li, Standing Committee Member of the Guangming District Committee of Shenzhen, Dato Wu Yuansheng, President of the Malaysian Teochew Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Co-Chairman of the Conference, Zheng Yongshi, Executive Director of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Business Think Tank Research Institute, and President of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Trade Fair Group, as well as representatives of Chinese and Malaysian government agencies, business associations, media, and business people, gathered together to witness the grand opening of this technological feast, showing the determination and actions of both China and Malaysia to jointly promote the continuous development of economic and trade cooperation.

Sun Shuqiang, Minister Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, said in his speech that in recent years, China has actively developed new quality productivity, while Malaysia has also proposed measures to revitalize the economy such as the 2030 New Industrial Blueprint and the National Energy Transformation Roadmap, and recently issued a semiconductor development strategy. The cooperation between the two countries in emerging fields such as green development, digital economy, and artificial intelligence continues to deepen. It is believed that through technology exhibitions and matchmaking meetings, new and powerful impetus will be injected into the cooperation between China and Malaysia.

Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia, said that Malaysia and China have a strong bond and support each other, and will work together to achieve win-win results. Standing at a new starting point, he hopes that both sides will work together to forge ahead and create greater glories.

In addition, Liu Xin, President of Shenzhen Overseas Exchange Association, also delivered a speech online. He said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia 50 years ago, the two places have continuously deepened pragmatic exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, tourism, culture, education, etc., and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. In the future, we also look forward to deepening cooperation and seeking common development with Malaysia in the fields of smart technology.
